A Warm, Visual Website to Match the Dining Experience
Client: Elm & Vine Bistro, Bedford
Challenge
Elm & Vine's old website had a PDF menu that was months out of date, no photos of the actual food, and no way for the owners to make changes without emailing their previous developer and waiting days for a reply.
Approach
We built a visually-led site on edgeCMS centred around a photo-rich homepage and an easy-to-edit menu page, using the Media Library so the team could upload new dish photos themselves in minutes. A simple booking enquiry form was added, along with an events/specials block for one-off evenings and seasonal menus.
Results
The team now updates the menu themselves whenever dishes change, typically the same day, and food photography gets refreshed regularly instead of sitting untouched for months. Booking enquiries via the website have become the bistro's primary source of new table reservations outside of walk-ins.
